“We have insider information that they are preparing to arrest Yevgenia Gutsul right at the airport,” TASS quotes him as saying.

Previously, Hutsul promised to return to Moldova, despite the criminal case.

On March 6, it was reported that the Prosecutor General’s Office of Moldova intends to send to court a criminal case in which the head of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul, appears.

On March 1, the head of the Gagauz autonomy arrived on a working visit to Moscow.

Evgenia Gutsul previously spoke about the attempts of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of the republic to force her to resign from her position and to slander her colleagues in the Shor party.

At the same time, President of Moldova Maia Sandu claimed that she does not plan to sign a decree appointing the head of Gagauzia Hutsul as a member of the government, although this is required by the country’s legislation.
