The WTT Singapore Grand Slam will be held at the Singapore Sports Center from March 7 to 17, when the world's top athletes will compete for 2,000 world ranking points.
Currently, the WTT official website has updated the Singapore Grand Slam entry list. The national table tennis team has sent 6 men and 6 women to participate, striving to win all championships.
After the Busan Team World Table Tennis Championships, the national table tennis players had no time to rest and adjust, and they immediately prepared for the upcoming WTT Singapore Grand Slam event.
According to the list published on the WTT official website, a total of 12 people from the national table tennis team participated in the five events of men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
The six-member men’s team includes Fan Zhendong, Wang Chuqin, Ma Long, Liang Jingkun, Lin Gaoyuan and Lin Shidong; the six-member women’s team includes Sun Yingsha, Wang Yidi, Chen Meng, Wang Manyu, Chen Xingtong and Qian Tianyi.
Among them, Fan Zhendong and Sun Yingsha are the top seeds in the men's and women's singles respectively, and they are also the defending singles champions.
Sun Yingsha will participate in the women's singles and mixed doubles competitions in this event, while Wang Manyu and Chen Meng will join hands in the women's doubles.
It is worth mentioning that Wang Chuqin will participate in men's singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles in this tournament.
In addition, the National Table Tennis Team sent a new pair of Ma Long/Lin Gaoyuan to compete in the men's doubles event, and the two world champions obtained wild card qualifications.
According to the schedule, the WTT Singapore Grand Slam will hold singles qualifying matches from March 7 to 9.
On March 10, the main race begins.
There are 64 lottery slots for men's and women's singles, and 24 lottery slots for men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles.
The first champion of WTT Singapore Grand Slam 2024 will be selected in the mixed doubles final on March 15.
The men's and women's doubles finals and men's and women's singles semi-finals will be held on March 16.
The men's and women's singles finals will be held on March 17.
