Ten Hag faces an uphill battle to qualify for next year's Champions League (French)

Press reports revealed that Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag was informed of the decision to dismiss him in light of growing feelings of anxiety in the “Red Devils” dressing room due to the pressures and methods used by the Dutch coach with the players.

Several Manchester United players have expressed concerns about the training and playing demands placed on them by Ten Hag.

It is also claimed that they believe the aforementioned demands have contributed to the club's high injury list.

The Manchester Evening News reported that there are some players inside United's dressing room who believe that Ten Hag's methods are too cumbersome, as in the 2022-2023 season the team played 62 matches in total.

United recorded 47 cases of injury or illness this season, which caused some players to miss the derby on Sunday, such as Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hoylund.

New owner Jim Ratcliffe has not yet decided whether the Dutch coach will continue in his position or not, especially after the team's failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Ten Hag now faces an uphill battle to qualify for next year's Champions League after finishing the weekend 11 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.

However, United legend Paul Scholes believes that Ratcliffe and his team (ENOS) have already made up their mind on Ten Hag and will make a change ahead of next season.

When asked if he thought the Dutchman would remain in charge next season, Scholes added: "I think they've already made their decision. I don't think there will be next season. No."

⚠️ Scholes: I think Ineos have made their decisions and I don't think Ten Hag will be the team's coach next season.

Speculation about the Dutchman's long-term future at Old Trafford has dominated in recent weeks due to fluctuating results.

This season, Manchester United is suffering from a significant decline in results, the last episode of which was a 1-3 defeat in the Manchester City derby against defending champion City on Sunday in the Premier League.

The Red Devils team, which exited the Champions League and the League Cup early, occupies sixth place, 19 points behind leaders Liverpool, and 11 points behind the Champions League qualifying positions.
