Former supermodel Elle Macpherson is back on the catwalk: At the age of almost 60, the Australian walked the catwalk at the opening of the Melbourne Fashion Festival - for the first time in 14 years.

She last walked for Louis Vuitton in Paris in March 2010 before moving on to other things.

Macpherson is said to be particularly successful with “WelleCo”, her own brand of nutritional supplements and wellness products.

At the show in Melbourne, the fashion icon showed that she still lives up to her nickname “The Body”.

Among other things, she presented creations from young Australian fashion labels such as Bianca Spender, Ngali and Viktoria & Woods.

She explained to the Sydney Morning Herald why she chose this parade for her comeback: "I have a passion for supporting Australian fashion and young designers, and I love Melbourne."

Macpherson, who celebrates her milestone birthday on March 29, has also worked as an actress in the past.

Among other things, she appeared several times in the hit series “Friends” at the end of the 1990s.

From 2010 to 2013 she presented “Britain’s Next Top Model”.

Last year she appeared as a guest judge on Heidi Klum's "Germany's Next Top Model".
