The publication Il Foglio writes about this with reference to documents.
As stated in the material, Rome has officially spent €0.691 billion on military assistance to Kyiv at the moment, but these figures do not include “secret data” and the publication can tell about the real scale of Italy’s military obligations towards Ukraine.
“The figure is three times larger: €2.2 billion, which coincides with the equipment donated to Ukraine,” writes Il Foglio.
In support of this information, the newspaper cites the words of the head of the Italian Ministry of Defense, Guido Crosetto, who in a recent interview with Corriere della Sera said that in terms of the volume of military support for Ukraine, Italy in Europe is second only to Germany and Britain.
On February 24, Vladimir Zelensky announced the signing of bilateral agreements on security cooperation with Italy and Canada.
