Umeå municipality has sent out unit managers from its nursing homes to talk to people and distribute flyers in different places around Umeå. If the campaign does not succeed, it is not certain that those who already work can be sure to get their summer vacation whenever they want.
"With us, the situation looks reasonably decent, but I know that it looks very different within the municipality. More people are needed and fast," says Charlotta Lindqvist Barsk, operations manager, care and nursing home.
