On the afternoon of the 2nd, a boy who seems to be a junior high school student drowned in a river flowing through Chiba City, and the police are investigating the details.

Around 2:50 pm on the 2nd, a passerby reported to the fire department that a child was drowning in the Ikumi River flowing through Chuo Ward, Chiba City.



Firefighters rushed and rescued the boy about 30 minutes later, but he died shortly after being transported to the hospital.



According to the police, the deceased was believed to be a first-year male student attending a junior high school in the city, and he was playing with two friends near the scene, and police and fire departments are investigating the situation in detail.
