In February, three junior high school students were arrested in Osaka's Chuo Ward for allegedly threatening a male university student in his 20s to steal his money and causing him to fall from a building. Police learned that the 13-year-old boy was in a relationship and that the two were suspected of planning to steal money.

A 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, both junior high school students living in Osaka Prefecture, threatened a 22-year-old university student living in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture in Kawaraya-cho, Chuo Ward, Osaka to steal money, causing him to fall off a building and die. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery resulting in death.

Police also notified the child welfare center about the 13-year-old boy who was with her at the time.

Immediately after the university student was threatened by three people on the 6th floor of a building, he jumped to the roof of an adjoining 4-story building and is believed to have fallen, but of the three, a girl and a 13-year-old boy at the time were killed. Police interviews revealed that they were in a relationship and that the two were suspected of planning to steal money.

The 15-year-old boy was suspected of being invited by a 13-year-old boy at the time on the day of the incident, and during a voluntary interview before his arrest, he said, ``I was asked to follow him, and I went to a convenience store near the crime scene for two hours.'' "I met up with people," he said.

The university student met the girl on SNS last month, and it appears they met for the first time on the day of the incident, so police are investigating the details of how the incident happened.

Upon investigation, the girl admitted to the charges, while the boy partially denied the charges.
