Last month, three junior high school students were arrested in Osaka's Chuo Ward for allegedly threatening a male university student with money and causing him to fall from a building. Of the three, a 14-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy at the time were arrested. Through interviews with investigators, it was revealed that she is suspected of pretending to be a fictitious 17-year-old woman on social media, communicating with university students, and inviting them to the university.

A 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, both junior high school students living in Osaka Prefecture, threatened a 22-year-old university student living in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture to extort money in Kawaraya-cho, Chuo Ward, Osaka last month, and then fell to his death from a building. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery resulting in death.

Police also notified the child welfare center about the 13-year-old boy who was with her at the time.

It is believed that the university student met the girl for the first time on the day of the incident, but the investigation reveals that of the three, the girl and a 13-year-old boy at the time were pretending to be imaginary 17-year-old women on social media and communicating with the university student. I found this out through interviews with people.

It is suspected that when the girl and boy were together, the boy sent messages such as ``I want to meet'' and lured the university student away.

The two also said, ``They used multiple accounts and were always communicating with multiple people. They have succeeded in collecting money several times so far.''

Police are investigating the details of the incident, believing that the two had planned to steal money together and invited a 15-year-old boy on the day of the incident.

Upon investigation, the arrested girl admitted to the charges, while the 15-year-old boy partially denied the charges.
