Kagawa Prefecture announced on the 1st that 1,308 people were newly confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
In addition, it was announced that four people, including men and women in their 80s and 90s and older who had been infected and recuperated, died.
On the other hand, the prefecture withdrew the two people announced as infected on August 31.
A total of 123,687 people have been confirmed to be infected in Kagawa Prefecture so far, and 255 people have died.
