Kochi Prefecture announced on the 1st that 1,146 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
On the other hand, one of the infected people announced on August 27 was withdrawn, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the prefecture to 86,047.
Kochi Prefecture also announced three new deaths in the prefecture.
This brings the total number of deaths in the county to 244.
