Gunma Prefecture announced on the 1st that 1,926 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture, and two deaths were confirmed.
It was the first time Thursday that the number of infected people was below 2,000 since 1,942 on July 21, six weeks ago.
On the other hand, the prefecture withdrew a total of 10 people announced on July 18, August 26, and 31 this year.
The number of confirmed infections in the prefecture reached 205,982, of which 423 died.
