Ehime Prefecture announced on the 1st that 1,688 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus.
On the other hand, the four infected people announced on August 30th and 31st have been withdrawn.
So far, 140,812 people have been confirmed to be infected in the prefecture.
Two new deaths were also announced, bringing the death toll to 265.
