Gunma Prefecture announced on the 2nd that 1,583 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture and one death was confirmed.
That's 639 fewer than last Friday's 2,222.
On the other hand, the prefecture withdrew a total of nine people announced on the 3rd, 30th, and 31st of last month, and on the 1st of this month.
The number of confirmed infections in the prefecture reached 207,556, of which 424 died.
