ICD Brookfield Place in Dubai revealed the list of winners during the first edition of the annual Tasmeem exhibition dedicated to graphic art and poster design, as it chose 12 designers from the region to display their artwork until August 26.

He stressed that the first edition of Tasmeem, organized under the title "Reverse Lines", complements the success of the poster exhibition that was held last year, under the title "This is the message: Four Voices in Contemporary Graphic Art", which won great acclaim.

The idea for Tasmeem came from the artistic program of ICD Brookfield Place, whose goal is to support efforts to promote a culture of creativity and innovation in the region, expand the scope of fruitful artistic dialogue on graphic design practices, and shed light on the work of artistic cadres. Emerging and well-known creators in the region.

The selection of the winners came after an open invitation was extended to artists, graphic designers and other creators of typographical fonts coming from the region, under the supervision of a specialized committee comprising experts and creators, including the graphic designer and typographic designs, Wael Morcos, the multidisciplinary designer and artist Ali Al-Masry, and the curator, Daniel H.RI.

The first edition of the exhibition, which is organized under the auspices of the graphic designer and artistic director Janan Saleh, deals with the idea of ​​“reverse lines” as a starting point towards a broader and more comprehensive artistic experience.

The displayed poster designs adopt letter shapes as a tool for conveying and telling stories in a new and fun way, in preparation for entering new paths in typographic designs.

The list of winners includes 12 creators, each of whom received a symbolic cash prize, and they are Ana Escobar Saavedra, Irene Collins, Ibrahim Khamaysa, Kinda Ghanoum, Maryam Balhoul, Muhammad Khalil, Nouran Abed, Rana Wasef, Rina Hasbini, Saba Sefai, Sarah Shebl, Zaid Al Jaouni. .
