The Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Railway Bridge is a control project for the new Nantong to Ningbo high-speed railway. It includes three channel bridges in the north, middle and south, and approach bridges across the embankment, sea and shoal areas. It is 29.2 kilometers in total and adopts a double-track wireless railway with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The ballasted track design is the longest high-speed railway cross-sea bridge under construction in the world with the highest construction standards.

It is reported that the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Railway Bridge Middle Channel Bridge has a total length of 1,430.8 meters. It adopts a double main span, three towers and double cable plane steel truss cable-stayed bridge structure. The main span is 2×448 meters. The bridge is designed with a total of 7 piers and 236 Bored pile.

Hangzhou Bay is one of the world's three largest strong tidal bays and a typical "trumpet-shaped bay" with large tidal range (maximum tidal range of 8.69 meters), strong scouring, rapid currents (maximum velocity of 5.3 meters/second), deep silt layers and shallow Due to the frequent occurrence of layer gas, foundation construction is difficult and safety risks are high.

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project construction, the project construction management unit Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Company, together with the China Railway Bridge Bureau Project Department, set up a scientific research team to conduct research on offshore construction safety risk monitoring technology and other topics, scientifically prepare construction plans and operation instructions, and prepare in advance Conduct safety technical briefings and strengthen safety and quality control throughout the entire process.

In particular, we invested in equipment such as ultra-large torque rotary drills and hydraulic power head rotary drills, and innovatively adopted technologies such as overburden rotary drilling + rock formation power head reverse circulation drilling to complete the drilling and grouting of the first pile of the main tower pier with high quality. Construction, setting up standards and proofing for subsequent project construction.

The Nantong-Ningbo high-speed railway is an important part of the coastal corridor of my country's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network. It starts from Yancheng to Nantong High-speed Railway Nantong West Station, and goes south through Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, Jiaxing City, and Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, and introduces the Ningbo Hub Ningbo Station, the newly built line is 301 kilometers long, has a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, has 10 stations on the entire line, and has a construction period of 5 years.

After the project is completed, it will be connected to many lines such as the Yancheng-Nantong High-speed Railway, the Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway, the Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway, and the Shanghai-Nanjing High-speed Railway along the Yangtze River. It will improve the structural layout of the road network in the Yangtze River Delta region and facilitate the travel of people along the lines. , it is of great significance to promote high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
