The government conducted a fact-finding survey in response to a series of subsidized fraudulent receipts at company-led childcare facilities that companies have developed for employees. It turned out that it was about 870 million yen.

Company-led childcare facilities are facilities that companies provide mainly for employees, and the government subsidizes facility maintenance expenses as part of measures for waiting children.

In response, the Cabinet Office conducted a survey on more than 4,000 facilities that were approved for construction in the last three years until last year. Subsidies were canceled for 18 facilities, and the total amount of fraud received was at least 870 million yen. I understood that

Despite the decision to subsidize, 239 facilities have canceled their projects due to inability to start construction or to prepare land by the deadline.

Some of the facilities closed after the start of operation because no children gathered.

The Cabinet Office states, "We would like to request a refund for subsidies received fraudulently and strictly examine the payment of subsidies to prevent recurrence."
