In order to secure financial resources to combat the declining birthrate, the Children and Family Affairs Agency has compiled an estimate of the amount that company employees and others will contribute by annual income to the "Support Fund System," which is collected through public medical insurance. By 2028, people with an annual income of 6 million yen will be paying about 1,000 yen per month, and people with an annual income of 10 million yen will be paying about 1,650 yen.

Regarding the "Child and Childcare Support Subsidy System," which is one of the financial resources for countermeasures against the declining birthrate, the government will provide 600 billion yen in the first year of 2026, 800 billion yen in 2027, and 800 billion yen in 2027, when the system is established, through public medical insurance. The plan is to collect 1 trillion yen from fiscal year onwards.

Of this amount, the amount contributed by people who enroll in "employee insurance," such as office workers and civil servants, is determined according to their income, and the Children and Family Affairs Agency has recently compiled an estimate by annual income.

According to this, in the first year of fiscal year 2026,

people with an annual income of 2 million yen will receive approximately 200 yen per month,

those with an annual income of 4 million yen will receive approximately 400 yen, and

those with an annual income of 6 million yen will receive approximately 600 yen

and 8 million yen. For those with 10 million yen, it will be approximately 800 yen

, and for those with 10 million yen, it will be approximately 1000 yen.

In addition, in fiscal 2028,

people with an annual income of 2 million yen will earn approximately 350 yen per month,

people with an annual income of 4 million yen will earn approximately 650 yen,

people with an annual income of 6 million yen will earn approximately 1000 yen, and

people with an annual income of 8 million yen will earn approximately 350 yen per month. 1,350 yen

▽ A person who earns 10 million yen will receive approximately 1,650 yen.

Regarding this, the Children and Families Agency states that if wages continue to rise in the future, the overall amount of remuneration will increase, so it is expected that contributions by annual income will decrease.

Minister of State for Children's Policy Kato said at a press conference, ``We have shown a number that has been mechanically calculated based on the total compensation for fiscal 2021. We hope that it will be useful in the discussion.''
