At 97, the longest-reigning and oldest monarch in the history of the British crown, Queen Elizabeth II, died. She ascended the throne on February 6, 1952, when she was 25 years old. Mourning in connection with the death of the Queen will last ten days. The new king of Great Britain will be Prince Charles of Wales.
