The year 96 of the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II was not like her previous years, during which she suffered from successive health problems, until illness put her in Balmoral Castle, where she spent her last days.

The health problems that the Queen has suffered in the last year began since last October, and since then the 96-year-old Queen has canceled a series of official commitments on the advice of her doctors.

The following are the most prominent health ailments that have plagued her since then until the time of her death:

October 2021

  • The Queen was seen leaning on a cane during a service at Westminster Castle on 12 October, the first time she had appeared at a public ceremony.

  • Buckingham Palace announced on 20 October that she had canceled a two-day visit to Northern Ireland after doctors advised her to rest.

The next day, the palace said the Queen had come to a private hospital in London for "initial examinations" and had spent the night there.

  • On October 26, the palace announced that she had resumed some “light duties.”

November 2021

The Queen was seen driving in Windsor Castle (west London) on 1 November, but she did not attend the UN climate change summit in Glasgow on "doctors' advice to rest", and she missed the memorial service for war victims on 14 November November due to "a sprain in the back".

February 2022

The Queen contracted COVID-19 after resuming her attendance at Windsor Castle.

Buckingham Palace said she had "slight symptoms, such as a cold".

Then I heard later say, "It leaves one very tired and exhausted, doesn't it?"

March 2022

The Queen canceled her participation in an event at Westminster Castle, but on March 29 she attended a mass there in memory of her late husband Prince Philip, who died in 2021 at the age of 99.

- April 2022

The Queen did not participate in a traditional religious event.

May 2022

The Queen missed the opening of Parliament on May 10 due to "movement problems", the third time she has done so since 1952. She was replaced by her son, Prince Charles.

June 2022

The Queen missed the platinum jubilee events marking the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne, including the Thanksgiving service at St Paul's Cathedral on June 3, and only appeared twice in public.

She also missed the Epsom race on June 4th.

September 2022

  • The Queen missed the traditional Alpine Games near Balmoral on the first weekend of September.

  • And this month, Liz Terrass was officially appointed Prime Minister, and the number of heads of government in her tenure became 15 on the sixth of September, and pictures were taken of them.

  • This handover was organized at Balmoral Palace in Scotland for the first time instead of Buckingham Palace.

  • On September 7, she canceled a scheduled meeting with senior political advisors after being asked to rest.

  • On September 8, Buckingham Palace issued an unusual statement about the Queen's health, saying that doctors were "concerned" about her health and "recommended that she remain under medical supervision".

"The Queen remains comfortable at Balmoral," the statement added.

- On September 8

She was officially declared dead, and her son Charles III succeeded her as the new King of Britain.
