Emmanuel Macron saluted the memory of Elizabeth II, who died Thursday at the age of 96, in a video message.

Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday at the age of 96, at her Scottish residence in Balmoral.

Reactions are multiplying around the world, like those of heads of state, Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau, to Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Emmanuel Macron also sent his condolences and also saluted the memory of the queen on Friday in a video message.

“Today we are so sad. It is with great sadness that the French people learned of the death of Her Majesty Elizabeth II,” he began.

"His death leaves us with a sense of emptiness," he continued.
