Princess Kako, the second daughter of Prince Akishino and his wife, watched wheelchair basketball practice at a sports facility for people with disabilities in Tottori City.

Kako arrived at Tottori Airport before 3:00 pm on the 24th and smiled and waved to the approximately 300 people who gathered to welcome her for nearly a minute.

After that, they visited the Tottori Universal Sports Center Novaria, a base facility for sports for people with disabilities that was established two years ago, and watched wheelchair basketball practice.

According to the Imperial Household Agency, it was the first time for Princess Kako to see a wheelchair basketball directly, and she was applauded with a smile when she scored a goal in a red and white match-style practice.

After practice, I had a chat with the players.

A 28-year-old male athlete said, "Princess Kako asked me, 'It was impressive. What kind of training were you doing?' I would be happy if the understanding of is spreading."

On the 25th, Princess Kako will attend a national convention of sign language performance by high school students to be held in Kurayoshi City.
