The Covid-19 made a collateral victim. At the age of 66, the paper edition of Playboy magazine will disappear. "As the coronavirus disruption in content production and the supply chain became increasingly apparent, we had to speed up an internal conversation," said Playboy Enterprises boss Ben Kohn, in a blog post. Playboy will continue to exist on the web.

The spring issue, currently on newsstands in the United States, will therefore be the last. The magazine may be continued in some countries due to licensing agreements. Licenses which now constitute the bulk of the brand's income.
