Employers can request, from Wednesday, an online work stoppage for employees forced to keep their children because of the closings of nurseries and schools decided in some municipalities to limit the spread of the new coronavirus, announced the ministry Health and Health Insurance. Parents without a “childcare solution” and unable to telecommute can “be placed on paid work stoppage”, they explain in their press release.
Tuesday, the Minister of Education Jean-Michel Blanquer said that about 120 schools were closed, mainly in the Oise and Morbihan, around the main outbreaks. Only one of the two parents can claim the payment of daily allowances by the Health Insurance and "for the duration of the closure of the establishment", it is specified.

Apart from this scenario, "only people identified as having been in close and prolonged contact with a person diagnosed with the virus must observe a period of isolation" and can "be issued, if necessary, a judgment of work ”. On the other hand, "no sick leave will be issued to non-sick people staying at home", neither in city offices, nor in hospital emergencies, insists the press release. In addition, "employers who decide, on their own initiative, to ask certain employees to stay at home must, in accordance with the Labor Code, ensure that they are paid wages over the period concerned".
