In August 2021, a 23-year-old man with underlying health conditions in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture was infected with the new coronavirus and died.



His parents are suing the national government, Chiba Prefecture, and Funabashi City for approximately 103 million yen in compensation, claiming that despite repeated requests for emergency transportation, they were refused transportation due to reasons such as the inability to find a hospital. is happening.



On the 31st, the man's father made a statement at the trial that began at the Tokyo District Court.



His father said, ``It was a very painful time for me to watch my son suffer and die without receiving treatment.If he had listened to my request for transportation seriously, his life could have been saved.'' ``I feel regretful and regretful,'' he said.



He then appealed, saying, ``I want to know the truth on behalf of his son.I filed this lawsuit because I want the country to be able to save lives.''
