After going bankrupt in 2010, Japan Airlines sold all of its up to 14 cargo planes to reduce its business, and began using the space on its passenger planes to carry cargo.



On the other hand, during the spread of the new coronavirus, passenger transportation significantly decreased, but sales of cargo transportation increased due to increased use of online shopping due to increased demand from people staying at home.



For this reason, Japan Airlines has introduced a new cargo-only aircraft for the first time in 14 years, and will begin operating it from the 19th of this month.On the 8th, the aircraft was unveiled to interested parties at a hangar at Narita Airport.

There are no seats on board, and there are rollers on the floor to make it easier to move and arrange containers and other luggage.



With a maximum payload of 48 tons, Japan Airlines will introduce three aircraft in total and will operate them on routes connecting Narita Airport with Seoul, Taipei, Shanghai and other destinations, where demand is particularly high for online shopping.
