Two houses burned down and two elderly people could not be contacted. Hiroshima, Fukuyama, January 3, 23:07

On the night of March 3, a house burned down in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and two people were found dead from the burns. Police are verifying their identity as they have lost contact with the elderly couple living in the house.

Around 6:30 pm on the 3rd, a fire was coming out of Mr. Toshimasa Nakao's house in the sea town of Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and a nearby dweller reported to the fire department.

Five fire trucks were dispatched and the fire was extinguished about an hour later, but one wooden two-story house was burnt down, and two people were found dead from the burns.

According to the police, Mr. Nakao lived in this house with his wife in her 90s and 70s, but lost contact with them after the fire.

Police rush to identify themselves and investigate the cause of the fire.
