On the morning of the 26th, two people died in a fire that completely destroyed a house in Kagoshima City. According to the police, they have been unable to contact the couple in their 70s who live in this house, so they are currently investigating.

At around 7:30 a.m. on the 26th, a resident reported to the police in Korimoto 2-chome, Kagoshima City, that the house next door was on fire.



Firefighters extinguished the fire approximately three hours later, but a two-story wooden house was completely destroyed.

As a result of this fire, one person was found dead in the burnt ruins, and one man was taken to the hospital, where he was later confirmed dead.



According to the police, Takao Makino (73) and his wife in their 70s live in this house, and they have been unable to contact them since the fire.



The site was located in a residential area approximately 500 meters southeast of JR Korimoto Station, and the fire spread to neighboring residences, and the surrounding area was filled with smoke, creating a commotion for a time.



Police are confirming the identities of the two people and investigating the cause of the fire.

A woman who lives in the neighborhood said, ``I was sleeping when I suddenly smelled smoke, and when I opened the window, it was completely white.I thought there was something going on, but then I heard a scream of ``fire,'' so I evacuated.There was black smoke rising and I heard a banging sound. "I did it," he said.
