【Explanation】Yanyuan County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province is located on the southeast edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, with the topographic characteristics of alpine valleys and central hilly basins. In recent years, Yanyuan County has accelerated the development of wind-solar complementary clean energy industry with the help of abundant wind energy resources brought by geographical location, and Huadian Xinneng Yanyuan Company started the construction of wind power projects in 2016. Since then, one by one, "wind chasers" have taken root in Yanyuan, blowing the wind in the hinterland of Daliangshan to thousands of households.

【Commentary】Recently, at the site of No. 16 of the dam Liangzi Wind Power Project in Yanyuan County, the lifting of the wind turbine cabin is being carried out in an orderly manner. Yan Hong, assistant director of the engineering construction department of Huadian Xinneng Yanyuan Company, introduced that unlike ordinary wind farm construction, the construction of alpine wind farms faces many impacts due to topography and climate.

Compared with general wind farms, our high-altitude mountain wind farms have high-altitude hypoxia, road construction and equipment transportation during flood periods, as well as concrete pouring in winter, and the difficulty of installing fans in windy seasons. The diameter of the blade parameters of our salt source (some fans) is 183 meters, the weight of a single blade is 22.5 tons, and the length of a single blade is 91 meters, and the sweeping area of the entire fan is equivalent to the size of 3.4 standard football fields.

【Commentary】Yan Hong introduced that the larger the fan blade, the higher the electricity it can generate. Taking a 91-meter fan blade as an example, every revolution of the blade will generate 8.5 kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the electricity consumption of ordinary residents for a day. However, large blades bring high power, but also bring transportation and installation difficulties.

Since the construction of the first wind farm, Chen Shiqi has been responsible for the transportation and lifting of wind turbines, and has experienced thousands of blade transportation work so far. Chen Shiqi recalled that due to the limited transportation conditions of the mountain roads in the hinterland of the plateau, the longest transportation experience, although the distance was only about 40 kilometers, took more than 50 days.

Our (project transportation) is mainly (walking) mud and stone roads, so it is more necessary to combine this (way) with large loading. And according to (due to) the tonnage and length of the equipment are now getting bigger, the requirements for loaders are also growing. Because the blade is too long, we now have a blade of 90 (91) meters, and some (high-pressure) lines and trees must be avoided for high-altitude barriers. Our large equipment for a fan is 10 units, that is, 3 blades, a wheel hub, a nacelle and 5 towers, which requires 10 large vehicles to respond (transport).

【Commentary】Chen Shiqi introduced that with the help of the special vehicle "Yanglifting Car", the blades are lifted and rotated 360 degrees through the hydraulic control of the vehicle, and the oversized blades can avoid the air barrier constraints of the mountain road. After the leaves go up the mountain, how to overcome the windy season to "rush into the sky"? Yan Hong said with a smile that in order to meet the wind speed conditions of the fan hoisting, they also turned into "god operators".

Our windy season lasts from October to March of the following year. In the windy season, it is more difficult to assemble and hoist the impeller of the fan. In response to this problem, we use the wind power prediction system of the previous wind farm to predict the wind speed of the next day, arrange a special person to conduct on-site side stations 10 hours a day, and install it in time when the wind speed meets the lifting requirements.

【Explanation】In order to let the "green" seeds blow to every corner of Daliangshan with the whistling mountain wind, grasping every wisp of wind and grabbing every kWh of electricity has become the development goal of wind farms.

We use the light wind season or light wind period to carry out maintenance work intensively, increase the proportion of planned tasks, complete as much maintenance work as possible in the shortest possible time, shorten the fan downtime, and improve the availability of the fan. At present, 66 wind turbines in Liangfeng Pass and Yintou Mountain Wind Farm have achieved a power overrun of 3% at rated wind speed, and Yakshan, Guantapo, Changpingzi, Xiaogaoshan and Dahe wind farms are also collecting relevant data to evaluate the excess capacity of wind turbines.

【Commentary】With the efforts of one "wind chaser", nearly 280 "steel giants" rose up on the top of the "Pearl of the Plateau". With the commissioning of the wind farm, the electricity brought by the mountain wind will shine brightly in the lights of thousands of homes.

Up to now, we have put into operation 9 projects with a production scale of 75,9 kilowatts. By the end of this year, after all our 12 wind power projects are put into operation, they will achieve a power generation (installed) capacity of 108.9 million kilowatts, an annual power generation capacity of 26.186 billion kilowatt-hours, and a reduction of 05.<> million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
