China News Service, Beijing, March 18 (Reporter Wang Enbo) The reporter learned from the China Development Bank on the 18th that the growth rate of CDB’s clean energy industry loans in 2023 will be higher than the growth rate of various loans, and the bank will continue to support the construction and operation of clean energy infrastructure. Provide medium and long-term financing support for the development of key areas such as

In 2023, my country's total renewable energy installed capacity will historically exceed thermal power installed capacity, accounting for more than half of the country's total installed power generation capacity.

A report from the China Electricity Council shows that in 2024, my country's total electricity consumption is expected to increase by about 6% compared with 2023.

In order to further meet the energy needs of economic and social development, accelerating the construction of new energy systems has attracted attention.

Focusing on providing services to ensure national energy security and assisting the green and low-carbon transformation of the economy and society, the China Development Bank actively develops green finance and increases medium- and long-term financing support in the field of clean energy. It focuses on serving large-scale wind power and photovoltaic bases mainly in deserts, Gobis, and deserts. The construction of clean energy bases such as the southwest hydro-wind-solar complementary base and offshore wind power base supports the manufacturing of clean energy equipment such as photovoltaic power generation equipment, wind power generation equipment, and smart grid transmission and distribution equipment.

Recently, the cumulative power generation of the water, wind and solar integrated base in the Yalong River Basin, one of the country's nine major clean energy bases, exceeded 1 trillion kilowatt hours. Green and clean energy power generation reduced carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 800 million tons, equivalent to more than 8 million hectares of artificial Forest carbon sequestration.

Over the years, China Development Bank Sichuan Branch has actively provided financial services for the construction of this clean energy base, and has issued a total of 40 billion yuan in loans.

Relevant funds have supported the construction of all seven large-scale hydropower stations in the base, as well as the world's largest and highest hydro-photovoltaic complementary power station - Kola Phase I Photovoltaic Power Station, one of my country's first large-scale wind power photovoltaic base projects - Laba Mountain Wind Farm and De Changfeng Farm and other three new wind and solar energy projects were constructed.

The rapid development of my country's new energy vehicle industry has put forward higher requirements for the construction of charging infrastructure network systems.

In 2023, China Development Bank issued relevant documents to support the construction of high-quality charging infrastructure systems, increased project promotion efforts, and issued loans to smart charging infrastructure construction and operation projects in Changchun City, Jilin Province, Fengjie County, Chongqing City, and Taoyuan County, Hunan Province. 7.6 billion yuan to support the informatization transformation of parking facilities, the construction of charging piles, and the establishment of big data platforms.

Take the Changchun New Energy Vehicle Smart Charging Infrastructure Project (Phase I) in Jilin Province as an example. The project will build 3,000 new charging piles in Changchun urban area.

Since October 2023, nearly 700 have been put into operation, providing services for more than 57,000 trips.
