The first meeting of countries and international organizations participating in the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo has begun.

The Japan Expo Association, which hosts the Expo, will explain how to proceed in the future, including the construction of pavilions, and will accelerate preparations.

So far, 142 countries and regions, as well as eight international organizations, have announced their participation in the Osaka-Kansai Expo, and about 250 people, including representatives from each country, will gather for the first time, starting on the 25th. It started with



At the opening ceremony held at the Osaka Prefectural International Conference Center, Mr. Koji Haneda, the representative of the Japanese government to the Expo, said, "The new corona is a big threat, but we need to look at the post-corona society. I am confident that this will be a wonderful opportunity to propose to the world an ideal future lifestyle."



In addition, Dimitri Kerkenzes, Secretary General of the International Secretariat of the Expo, said, "This is an extremely important conference where each participant can exchange information and opinions for the future."



At the meeting, the Expo Association will explain how to proceed, such as the construction of the pavilion and the production of the exhibition, as well as the signing of the contract for participation.



On the 26th, a tour of Yumeshima in Konohana Ward, Osaka, which will be the site of the Expo, will be conducted, and the Association will accelerate preparations as it will take about two and a half years until the opening of the Expo.
