Mr. Baba, president of the Japan Restoration Association, emphasized that holding the Osaka-Kansai Expo next year would lead to the reconstruction of the Noto Peninsula earthquake, and expressed his intention to consider how to take responsibility as the party that has promoted the bid if there is a deficit in operating expenses.

At a press conference at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan, Mr. Baba, president of the Japan Restoration Association, commented on the impact of the Noto Peninsula earthquake on the holding of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, saying, "We want to move forward believing that the success of the Expo will lead to earthquake reconstruction and economic revitalization.

In addition, he said that if there is a deficit in the operating expenses of the Expo, the party that has invited the Expo will be responsible, saying, "There is a political responsibility, and I would like to discuss and decide what kind of responsibility to take in the event of a deficit."

On the other hand, Mr. Baba criticized the Communist Party last year as "a political party that should be gone," saying, "It cannot be said to be a democracy when the chairman of the top committee has not changed for decades and expels members who criticize the way the party should be.
