Regarding the overseas pavilions at next year's Osaka/Kansai Expo, where construction delays are an issue, the Expo Association, which is responsible for implementing the project, has announced that construction work on the buildings, etc., must be completed by mid-October this year. did.

At the Osaka/Kansai Expo, more than 50 countries plan to exhibit using a method called "Type A," in which they build their own pavilions, but negotiations with construction companies have been difficult due to soaring material prices and labor shortages. So far,

companies have been established in 36 countries,

but construction has started in only 5 countries.

According to the estimated construction deadlines published by the Japan Exposition Association, in order to be ready for the opening in April next year, interior construction should be completed by mid-January next year, and all exhibits and other items should be completed by the end of February. I think the construction needs to be completed.

To this end, we have set a target date for completing the building assembly, roof and exterior work by mid-October this year.

The Expo Association had previously set a target date for completing the construction work by mid-July, but the deadline has been delayed in response to feedback from participating countries.

The Association for Expositions is proposing ``Type I hope the government will use this as an opportunity to make a decision."
