• MomenTVs Ana Rosa Quintana and the "miracle"

Ana Rosa Quintana

discovered a lump in her chest.

She immediately went to her gynecologist.

She knew what was at stake, since she had already had breast cancer before - "nothing to do with the one now" -.

She went to her oncologist, underwent timely tests and one day, in the middle of an advertisement on

The Ana Rosa Program

, her doctor called her: "You have to come urgently."

Anyone in her place, she would have taken her bag, called Paco, the driver of her production company, and left.

Ana Rosa Quintana

, no.

Ana Rosa Quintana

endured until the end of the program with the eat, eat, with uncertainty, and when she finished her work she left.

Perhaps, knowing this, it is easier to understand why today he has returned after 11 months of hearing and has been the only one who has not shed a tear.

Even

Paolo Vasile

himself could not bear the emotion.

MomenTVs

Ana Rosa's program.

The "miracle" of Ana Rosa Quintana

In the middle of a press conference, before dozens of media, the president of

Mediaset

appeared, approached

Ana Rosa Quintana

, hugged her and left in tears.

"Like this all day", Ana Rosa

cut

the moment trying to divert Paolo Vasile's excited exit from the set.

But she continued strong, unalterable, holding on... "Today I'm holding on because I'm in a bubble of emotions, but tomorrow when the sun rises and everything returns to normal, we'll see," she says.

How has your life been in these 11 months? Look, in the 17 years that my children have, I had never seen them go to school.

And these months I have gotten up early every day and I have gotten up with them to see them.

I have prepared myself throughout the process and throughout the treatment.

When I left I thought I was going to do a lot of things and I haven't done anything.

I've exercised, I've seen movies, I've read, I've watched television, many Unicorn programs, because watching

Ana Rosa's program

gave me a lot of things, but nothing more.

Every day, the journalist went out for a walk of at least 10 kilometers, always accompanied, always with her friends, whom she never ceases to thank for having been there "every day, every hour, at every moment."

She even gave her a paddle, with the sound of the sea, and everything, so that she could exercise at home.

"... And every day I row," she says proudly.

In these 11 months, a woman like you, always transmitting an image of being strong, empowered... What has been the moment in which you have felt most vulnerable? When she tells you it is a blow.

It's a 'now what's going to happen?'

That takes time to assimilate.

I have to say that it takes a little while because it is what it is and we have to move forward.

It's true that I kept my hair until session 12 of the chemo and the first day I went to comb it and a strand was left in the comb, I said, 'out'.

I shaved my head right away, before it fell off completely.

I have handled this relatively well.

The worst thing was the eyelashes, but since it was almost at the end... Then I had my wigs, one more similar to my hair and another with a ponytail, which is the one I wear to the bulls.

That's why I've been doing well.

But the worst moment is when you wake up at night,

half asleep, you turn on the light and look in the mirror and say 'who is that lady'.

You don't recognize yourself.

But Juan -her husband of hers- of hers has made me feel so beautiful, so stupendous.

They haven't made me feel bad.

In the end, that's the least of it.

One of the shocking things to me is that it changes your life. The lack of freedom?

If that is.

It changes your life.

From one day to the next you say tomorrow I won't work.

And the thing is that I couldn't go where I wanted, nor see my friends, nor do what I wanted because there was also the pandemic and I had to take care of myself so as not to miss any treatment session and not get sick from Covid. You insist that you are still not cured and that you have had moments of uncertainty.

Does that uncertainty continue? Every time we have a review, which is now every 3 months, it's very distressing.

It happens to all of us who have had cancer.

But you have to be positive and I've always been very positive.

I have always thought that I was going to be cured and that nothing was going to happen to me, and that this was a process that I had to live through, but that I was going to overcome it and that I had to live it as best as possible. What has this cancer taught you ?The first was on site.

It was a category 1 cancer that caught very quickly and did not need treatment.

Besides, I kept it hidden almost all the time because my mother was still alive and until my mother passed away nobody found out.

This one was bigger than that one.

16 sessions of chemotherapy, 15 radiotherapy, two interventions, including the lymph nodes... I'm still not cured. Have you needed psychological support? I haven't, but there are many people who need it.

Isabel Rubio - the oncology surgeon who treated her - told me that there are many people who don't need it, but that over time and once it's over, they do need it and we have to be open.

But it is true that I have had so much, so much emotional support from my family, from my friends, from my colleagues that has helped me a lot.

What message would you send to women who are going through the same thing as you right now? Go ahead.

Forward!

Don't stay on the couch, try within your possibilities and your strength, not everyone takes chemo in the same way, get up, do things.

Don't give up and think positive, think you're going to heal.

It is important that people who have just been diagnosed, encourage them to try to cope in the best possible way.

They say that when a year goes by I won't even remember.

I think I will remember.

The most important thing is that one day, one like mine today, you get up, get dressed, get into Paco's car and go back to your life. When did they give you the go-ahead to go back and how is your life going to be? now?

We decided almost a week ago.

But, I have to say, I'm not cured until... I don't know.

I don't know if in 5 years I will be able to say that I am.

I feel fine, but the doctors have set their conditions.

Zero stress, although I am not a very stressed person.

On Fridays I won't be on the show, Patricia Pardo and Joaquín Prat will be there and then I'll go home.

Before you started the program at 07:00, you finished at 13:30, you kept working because there were always things to do, acts to go to.

Now that, for the moment, is over.

Everything after the program, nothing.

Later you will see

Step by step, he assures, because "you have to think that the most important thing is yourself".

In fact,

Ana Rosa Quintana

had it clear since she was diagnosed with carcinoma: take care of yourself, take care of yourself and take care of yourself.

She took her children out of a living room that she has in her house and that they used to play the video game console and there she planted her new office - "it is a room with a lot of light" -.

She decided to read-

A gentleman among Moscow

-, she decided to see

Coffee with the aroma of a woman

, while she was in the hyperbaric chamber -"my husband is more handsome than William Levy"-, and decided to dedicate herself to herself then, now and always.

"I have an altar of prayer cards, medals, rosaries, music that they sent. All of that has encouraged me so much... But if everyone was here this morning, even my husband, who had never come, even two of my children, who had not been either. I think they have been very excited and have been excited to see me like this, "he explains.

Ana Rosa Quintana: "I came back because I needed to recover my life" THE WORLD

In addition to the nerves of the first day, how has it been to have generated so much expectation, to see you on the other side of the news? It has been brutal.

Awesome.

I had no idea about the video that was broadcast on Saturday with so many colleagues, politicians and friends welcoming me.

I'm very grateful.

This morning when it arrived, the entire newsroom was waiting for me.

I have been given more kisses than in my entire life.

I don't know if they thought I wasn't going to come back. Have you managed to disconnect during this time away? Well, to tell you the truth, they were doing so well that there were many days when I thought 'why am I going to come back'.

Chelo -her partner in Unicorn- has taken care of everything, but she has kept me informed at all times.

I talked to her twice a day.

I have tried to control myself as much as I could because when you are in treatment your life is 'I have treatment every week and I have to be strong'. What has been the event of these 11 months that you said 'I have to be there and tell about it'? There have been many things, because many things have happened.

The war in Ukraine, the resignation of the leader of the PP, but, above all, the death and funeral of Elizabeth II.

When Lady Di died, I was on Antena 3, and Rosa Villascatín and I managed to do 14 hours of live television.

I would have liked to have put the finishing touch to that coverage.

And, above all, one sees how well the British did it, the protocol, the images... And it is impossible not to wonder 'what if this happens here and with the King Emeritus outside of Spain?'

How have you seen TV from the other side?

From home, what we do in Spain on television is amazing.

Series and programs of impressive quality.

Television is now life in rigorous direct.

The worst thing is to leave indifferent. And today?

How have you lived the return with an interview with Feijóo and Ortega Cano? I have found everything done.

It has been my team that has worked to have them both.

I know that we called the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, first, but, obviously, the president's agenda is more complicated.

Feijóo could and accepted immediately.

And Ortega Cano?

He has been very generous with me because an interview that many people were looking for and he has given it to me.

Ortega Cano's semen is going to go down in the annals of television history.
