Ayana Hanzawa (24), a teacher at an elementary school in Fujimi City, Saitama Prefecture, was arrested on September 15 on suspicion of forcible obstruction of business for adding chlorine-based bleach to elementary school lunch curry.

The children noticed a strange smell before putting it on the plate, and there was no health hazard.

According to the police, bleach was mixed in the school lunch of one class, the grade that the teacher was in charge of until last year. It means that he admits to the suspicion.

Furthermore, in response to the investigation so far, he said, "I knew that the event of this school year would start the next day. I thought it would be good if everyone got sick before that because they seemed to be having fun." This is what I learned from interviews with investigators.

Police are investigating the details of the event, which was scheduled to be postponed following the incident.
