Mai• Often, but not every day. The working environment in schools today is not good for students or teachers. I have had several colleagues who have been crushed by harassment both from students but also their parents, who today are not finished in the profession. It is threatened, persecuted, vandalism, violated, harassed, etc. And nothing is done about it, "they are mischief/not serious", "understimulation", "relationship deficiency", etc.

Lars Johansson Violence only once. Otherwise, to disassemble fighters. Multiple threats, both direct and indirect. Mess, sabotage and constant disturbances were more frequent and draining. Management's unwillingness to acknowledge the problems. Very high staff turnover reveals the worst schools.

Mike• No one cares if the relatives of the abused persons (spouse, children, etc.) are the spouse of a battered preschool teacher in Skåne County. Took a long time (14months) before my "bestie, husband life partner, love of life, mother of our children...) collapsed. Then it dawned on me.... All questions and topics of conversation we had a long time back, but too late.
Swedish Work Environment Authority, the municipality, managers... Big fiasco, the whole society is about money and resources, fy.
Sick leave and long recovery that followed, lost income, etc. Life must go on no one cares about relatives.

Since no one has reported it to the police, there will probably be no financial compensation from Victim Support Sweden.
O people call on Radio P4a at night and claim that school staff just have to receive, put up with everything.... Because some children cannot express themselves in any other way??? Hello Sweden, blue-eyed politicians.
In my time, teachers had a big stick in their hand and there was no mobile phone as well as internet (should be banned until 16years generally, as China has introduced now... limited screen time, respect)
Is disappointed with the law and rules of the realm as well as performing powers .
No wonder people and already all young children ,young people do not certain respect for teachers, police, emergency personnel etc. a lawless country/society.
Ugh.
Parental responsibility???? Is that something anyone knows about? Being a parent means 24/7 for at least 18 years..... think about it before you have sex.
Sincerely... A disappointed relative of abused teachers

John_H • Working at a school in a 'vulnerable area', I am so far spared direct threats, but there is a total lack of respect for me as a teacher and human being among a certain part of the students. However, have colleagues (mostly women) who are offended on a daily basis, called 'h*ra, racist, svennar', for trying to maintain some kind of order and standard. The management knows what is being said and happening, but it is clear that this is expected to be the work environment we should be in, and there are no resources or even legal support to remove these students - 'everyone should join in' as it is called. Hardly anyone knows who does not plan on changing jobs, or any good performing student who wants to change schools. Who does the National Agency for Education / politicians think should take care of these students? Is it directly into HBV homes in a couple of years?

Lefty • This is how it has always been.

bus driver• I am a school bus driver, students are calm when they go to school, but when they get out of school they are mean and aggressive, they know exactly what they can do by insulting me, and it is always my word against the words of some friends, what happens is not good and the feeling of impunity among students makes their aggressiveness increase, When there is an accident and something happens, everyone will look for causes, and the reason is impunity and the fact that they are in the lead with knowledge , best regards, bus driver

Karin• Luckily, the worst thing I've ever experienced was a long time ago, back in the days when you had answering machines. I got called a couple of times and death threats, he would rape me and cut open my stomach. On a couple of occasions he had recorded similar messages on the answering machine, which my nine-year-old listened to. I think he randomly chose numbers from the school directory, because there were a few of us at the school who were affected. I reported it to the police, but the investigation was immediately closed. The police did nothing despite the recordings.

Nils• I just wrote. But one more thing I'm thinking about. Many students demand an enormous amount of respect from others, but are not prepared to show respect to their surroundings. Many are also extremely easily offended. Some students with obvious needs for support or special classes attend regular classes, where they should not be for their own sake and the sake of others. Probably depends a lot on the parents.

Helena 72 • I have substituted for half a year at Werner Rydenskolan in Malmö in 1991. As an unauthorized teacher with children of 13 years of age. One of the more vulnerable areas, both economically and socially, at old Rosengård. That was the year the war raged in the Balkans and many of the young people in the class had their roots somewhere there. What was frightening, there and then, was the hatred that smouldered between all the Serbs, Croats, Bosnians, at the school. I had a habit of eating lunch, daily with the children and felt that it was good for them. Talk freely, think freely, Invite myself. There were many positive memories for life, both the children and me.
Our young people are NOT safe today. Something has gone wrong with Swedish society because so many are losing hope.
Do something good for a human being on a daily basis.
Chase small good deeds daily.
Never give up! Never fold!

Teacher in Skåne • Absolutely experienced threats, both against myself and colleagues. No one dares to speak out about it. When I talked to a principal about it, she said that I had to think about my future in the profession, more or less threatened to make sure that no one hired me. Luckily, I had others I could use as a reference when I changed jobs. Principals in my experience do nothing to support teachers. A colleague of mine who received death threats from a student was scolded by the principal because she brought it up at an APT meeting.
