On the 5th, a 3-year-old girl died after being left behind in a school bus at a certified child care center in Shizuoka Prefecture. It was regrettable that it occurred in the middle of the day, and I notified the whole country to thoroughly implement safety management.

The notice was issued by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Cabinet Office on the 6th to local governments and boards of education nationwide that have jurisdiction over nursery schools, kindergartens, and certified children's centers.

Among them, in July last year, a child at a nursery school in Fukuoka Prefecture died of heat stroke after being left behind in the shuttle bus, and while we were asking for measures, this incident occurred. It is extremely regrettable, and we are requesting that each facility inspect the work and thoroughly implement safety management again.

Specifically, when the scene changes, such as before and after going to kindergarten or taking a walk, multiple staff members check the number of children, and if they are absent, they promptly confirm with their parents and share the information among staff members. I am asking you to

Also, in addition to the driver, it is desirable for staff who can handle children to ride on the shuttle bus, and when children get on and off, check the seats and number of people and share them with staff. I will show you again the contents of the notification I received the incident.

The government plans to consider additional measures in the future after further understanding the details.
