At about 7 am on January 11, a fire broke out in a residential building in Qiaotou, Ji Town, Biyong Town, Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province.
After receiving the report, the fire department and the local township quickly dispatched forces to the scene for rescue, and extinguished the open fire at 9:42.
At present, the search and rescue work has ended, and the fire caused 5 deaths and 1 injury, and the vital signs of the injured are stable.
The cause of the fire is under further investigation.
