A residential building was severely damaged by a Russian drone attack in Odessa (French)

The Ukrainian authorities announced that attacks launched by Russian drones resulted in at least two deaths late Friday evening in Kharkiv and Odessa, while Moscow announced the destruction of Ukrainian electronic warfare systems.

A young man was killed and several people were injured, including a 3-year-old child, when a Russian drone targeted a residential building in the coastal city of Odessa (south), according to the authorities.

The governor of the region, Oleg Kiper, announced that “the 3-year-old child was seriously injured in his leg and is under medical supervision,” noting that 6 adults were also injured.

A march also targeted a house in the village of Velikiy Burluk, located about 100 kilometers from Kharkiv (northeast), causing a fire.

The body of a 76-year-old man was recovered from under the rubble, according to police.

The same source added, "The house was completely destroyed. Police officers worked to evacuate an elderly woman from a neighboring house."

According to the authorities in the city of Kharkiv, drones damaged a number of vehicles and residential buildings, but no injuries were reported.

These attacks occurred at a time when sirens were heard in eastern Ukraine after the authorities detected what they said were Iranian-made Shahed explosive drones, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Russia launched several thousand of these drones throughout the war on targets deep in Ukraine.

On the other hand, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian forces destroyed 5 Ukrainian “Bukovel AD” electronic warfare systems.

It announced its control over strongholds belonging to the Ukrainian forces in Zaporozhye Province, and captured a number of Ukrainian soldiers.
