A large fire has been ravaging a 14-story building in the El Campanar neighborhood in Valencia for at least an hour.
Numerous fire crews have been sent to the scene of the incident, working against the clock to try to rescue at least two people alive who are on a balcony and surrounded by flames on the adjoining floors.

Mazón, pending the evolution of the fire in Valencia
The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, is already in the area of the fire,

Emergencies ask not to approach the scene of the fire
The Emergency Coordination Center
has activated the Territorial Emergency Plan of the Valencian Community (PTECV) Situation 0
in response to the fire declared in a building on Maestro Rodrigo de València street and has asked citizens
not to approach the place or surrounding areas
since it can be dangerous and to facilitate the work of the extinguishing teams.
The PTECV zero situation means that "very localized" damage has occurred and in which the application and activation of a local plan is sufficient to control the emergency.
The emergency services received the warning at 5:35 p.m. and at this time the entire building was practically on fire.

Firefighters try to rescue neighbors trapped on balconies
The fire that broke out around half past five this afternoon on the fifth floor of a residential building in Valencia has completely affected the building and has spread to another annex, and
firefighters are still trying to rescue neighbors from the balconies.
The building in the Campanar neighborhood where the fire originated is burned on several of its floors and
the flames have spread to another building that is attached to it,

Fire in a residential building in Valencia
The fire on the fifth floor of a residential building in Valencia, in the Campanar neighborhood,
is spreading to the upper floors with flames visible from the public street
and a huge smoke, according to firefighters.
The residential building is located at the intersection of General Avilés and Maestro Rodrigo streets and has fourteen floors.
Valencia Firefighters units have moved to the scene and as can be seen in the images on social networks, the flames have even reached the top floor, with no evidence of personal injuries at the moment.
