Two men and women in Osaka were arrested for deceiving more than 20 million yen from two men in their 60s who met through a matching app saying, "I want to get along with an elderly man."

From the seized materials, it is believed that a total of more than 200 million yen was received from dozens of people, mainly men over the age of 60, and police are investigating the relationship.

The people arrested were Seiichi Yoshida (50) and unemployed Erina Nishimura (27), both of whom live in Yao City, Osaka, and whose occupation is unknown.

According to investigators, it is suspected that two men in their 60s cheated a total of 23.5 million yen in cash from January to July.



At the direction of Mr. Yoshida, Mr. Nishimura got acquainted with a man through a matching app, told him that he wanted to get along with an elderly man, and pretended that he wanted to associate with him, and met him at a hotel.



After that, there is a suspicion that he was approaching the consultation to repay the scholarship he borrowed when he was in college.



One of the men had retired from work before his wife and had assets such as severance pay.
