Deconfinement, but not for everyone!

France emerged Tuesday, December 15 from a second confinement, replaced by a night curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., but restaurants and cultural places must remain closed because of an epidemic whose end we do not see.

For culture, the health "results" are "not yet at the rendezvous" to consider a recovery while all the stores have already reopened.

"The cultural exception is not the health exception," Prime Minister Jean Castex summed up on

Europe 1

on Tuesday morning.

Some professionals from the world of culture demonstrated at Place de la Bastille (Paris) and elsewhere in France.

In an attempt to calm the discontent, Jean Castex confirmed that an "extension of 35 million euros" would be granted to the culture sector and that a review of the situation would take place on January 7.
