Confinement in Malaysia raises fear of condom shortage worldwide

This is one of the alarming consequences of the coronavirus epidemic in Malaysia. With the highest number of cases in Southeast Asia, authorities declared containment effective March 14. Since then, condom factories have been idling and observers have worried about a coming global shortage, and the possible consequences of it for other epidemics of sexually transmitted diseases.
