Since the attack on the Paris police headquarters on October 3, "287 reports" of Islamist radicalization "of public officials" have been reported to the Directorate General of Internal Security, said the Minister of Interior, Christophe Castaner.

Before the National Assembly's commission of inquiry into the dysfunctions that led to the PP attack, the minister insisted that "a report on radicalization was a suspicion" and that "a suspicion was not worth not radicalization ”.

110 cases reported to the police

Christophe Castaner underlined thus that "the essential" of the reports was classified without follow-up. These reports were identified by the DGSI staff and relate to "public officials in the broad sense", he added. As the chairman of the commission of inquiry, Eric Ciotti (LR), asked him if this concerned agents working in transport, he replied in the affirmative. Regarding the police, the minister mentioned "110 cases reported" for Islamist radicalization since October 3. Of this total, "73 cases have been closed" and "2 agents have been dismissed," he said.
