Cultural and audiovisual workers who are victims of sexual violence will soon all benefit from free legal and psychological support. The listening and monitoring unit, promised by the Minister of Culture in mid-November in the wake of the declarations of the actress Adèle Haenel, will be effective "within a few weeks", announces Audrey Ellouk Barda, secretary general of Fesac (Federation of performing arts, music, audiovisual and cinema companies) at 20 Minutes .

This unit will include a psychological component provided by the Audiens group, with psychologists available by telephone, and a legal component, provided by a platform of lawyers. "The lawyer writes a sort of consultation by making an initial qualification of the facts, but it is not a care," says Audrey Ellouk Barda.

This unit will be managed by Fesac and employee unions: CGT spectacles, CFDT and FO in particular. It is part of a broader action plan on equality between women and men.

"We want the cell to collapse under the calls"

This announcement confirms remarks made by the senior official for equality and diversity Agnès Saal during the General Assembly against harassment and sexual violence in the cinema and audiovisual sector, organized this Wednesday, March 4 at La Fémis, by the 50/50 collective, a network of professionals committed to equality and diversity in this sector.

“The idea is to ensure that there is no financial cost associated with this already considerable effort for the first steps. It is a tool dedicated to people working in the performing arts, music, cinema and audiovisual, in order to precisely reduce the weight of speaking, so that the testimonies are followed up effectively. The greatest number of employees will have to know it to use it. We want the cell to collapse under the calls, "said the senior official.
