1:44 on January 1 to re-arrest man in the same car in Aichi prefecture

Last year, a 44-year-old company officer was charged with injury and other injuries for driving a car on the Joban Expressway in Ibaraki Prefecture and stopping the car and hitting the face of the driving man and injuring him. An interview with investigators revealed that police had decided to re-arrest the man on July 18 last year, allegedly forcing him to drive in Aichi prefecture.

Defendant Fumio Miyazaki (44), a company officer, forced a car driven by a male employee to stop the car in August last year on the up line of the Joban Expressway in Moriya City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Last month, he was charged with extortion and injuries for hitting his face and injuring him.

A subsequent police investigation found that around 6:30 am on July 23, last year, even on the down line of the Shin-Tomei Expressway in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, the subsequent trucks were suddenly braked to block the course. Interviews with investigators revealed that they were slowing down and would reappear on suspicion of coercion.

Police analyzed the images of the drive recorder and conducted other investigations to find out that the suspicion that Miyazaki had been involved in the same car as in the case of the Joban Expressway in Ibaraki Prefecture had increased.

Police will move Miyazaki from Ibaraki to Aichi to investigate further.
