The new identity of Al Waha Hospital in Al Ain was launched under the name of “Canada Hospital”, in appreciation and recognition of the role played by the founders of the hospital, the couple Pat and Mariana Kennedy in developing health care, especially For newborns in the city of Al Ain since the 1960s, and to document the current name of the hospital, which is well known among the residents of Al Ain, and to promote the values of coexistence and tolerance.
The new identity of the hospital was launched by Sheikh Hazza bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Undersecretary of the Ruler's Representative’s Office in Al Ain, during a ceremony organized on this occasion in the presence of the head of the Community Development Department, Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Head of the Abu Dhabi Health Department, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Hamid, and the Executive Director of the National Program for Tolerance Acting Abdullah Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, and the family of Dr. Pat Kennedy.
The attendees toured the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Council, which is a prominent landmark in the city of Al Ain, located directly near the hospital entrance, and includes an exhibition of rare photos that highlights the history of the city of Al Ain and the stages of the development process that the city witnessed in various sectors, especially the history and development of the health care sector .

This year, the hospital has celebrated the birth of 120,000 children since its foundation.
The hospital witnessed the birth of many members of the ruling family in Abu Dhabi during the years following its establishment, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Since its establishment, the hospital has gone through several developmental stages with the support of wise leadership, most notably in 2015 with the opening of the new building equipped with the latest medical equipment and facilities.
In the hospital, pediatricians see approximately 9,000 children per month in the outpatient seasons.
Dr. Pat and Marian Kennedy worked in Al Ain until 1975, followed by many employees who left a legacy of compassion and excellent care.
