According to RIA Novosti, Erdogan held a meeting with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Dubai.

“During the meeting, President Erdogan said that Israeli attacks on Rafah and all of Gaza are unacceptable and that... the UN Security Council and relevant countries must take steps to stop Israel as soon as possible,” the office said in a statement.

The Turkish leader stressed that the Israel Defense Forces' attacks on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip are a consequence of the duplicitous policy pursued by Western countries.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said that the international community should not allow the Israel Defense Forces to conduct a military operation in Rafah.
