Was accused of obstructing power operations, such as sending a handwritten fax to the venue saying, "If you do not remove it as soon as possible, you will be disturbed by having a gasoline can."
In a ruling on the 14th, Judge Masamichi Itazu of the Nagoya District Court said, “A similar case was addressed to an art museum with many visitors shortly after an incident in which a large number of casualties were caused by arson using gasoline. "We are sending a written document that suggests that you will be worried about, and it will make you feel terrified and malicious."
On top of that, he said, “I can't see criminal liability lightly, but I acknowledge the fact and reflect on it,” he said, and sentenced him to imprisonment for 1 year and 6 months and 3 years of probation.
According to lawyers, Defendant Hotta has a policy not to appeal.
