Abu Dhabi hotels receive 2.2 million guests, a growth of 22% within 7 months

The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi revealed that hotel establishments in the emirate received 2.2 million hotel guests during the first seven months of this year, a growth of 22% compared to the same period last year.

The statistics issued by the department today showed that the total hotel revenues increased by 28% during the same period to reach 2.7 billion dirhams, and the average available hotel room prices rose to 325 dirhams, a growth of 17% compared to the same period last year.

 Hotel occupancy rates continued to rise, reaching 69%, an increase of 4%.

According to the department, the local market came first in terms of the number of guests during the first seven months of this year with 650 thousand guests, followed by the Indian market with 259,000 guests, followed by the Philippine market with 99 thousand guests

The Egyptian market came on top of the Arab markets, with a total of 92,000 guests, followed by the Saudi market, with a total of 80,000 hotel guests.
